Bob Wills Day
at Hotel Turkey
Last Saturday in April. Turkey, Texas. A West Texas tradition since 1971.
All Hail
The King of Western Swing
Bob Wills grew up on a nearby farm, worked the local barber shop in Turkey in his early 20s, and claimed this town as his hometown. Turkey was more than happy to claim him back. In 1971, Turkey started hosting Bob Wills Day in his honor, and it's been held every last Saturday in April ever since.
Thousands converge on Turkey for live music, barbecue, a parade, Western Swing dancing and a real good time.
