Hotel Turkey Policies

Thank you for booking a room at our property. We are excited to have you at Hotel Turkey!

Hotel Turkey is a historic property located in Turkey, Texas, where every guest is both important and special to us. Please read through our policies below.

TABC laws restrict guests from bringing alcohol into hotel public areas. Alcoholic beverages consumed in hotel public areas must be purchased through the Hotel Turkey.

Booking & Cancellation Policy

Bookings may charge a 50% of your stay at the time of booking or 7 days prior to arrival.  Reservations for special events or peak booking times may be charged in full 7 days prior to your arrival or at the time of booking if within the 7 days.

Please carefully read our cancellation policy. Rarely can we make any exceptions to this. Our receptionists are instructed to follow this policy and rules. So to save any misunderstanding we would be grateful if you can observe the following:

  • A 50% of your stay may be charged upon booking or 7 days prior to arrival.
  • Individual room reservations must be cancelled 7 days prior to arrival and special group reservations must be cancelled 30 days prior to arrival to avoid being charged for your entire stay.
  • Cancellations made up to 7 days prior to your stay will be refunded the deposit.
  • In case of a “no-show”, the total price of the reservation will be charged and is non- refundable.
  • All cancellations are confirmed via email immediately after the reservation has been cancelled.
  • For Full property bookings, special events, holidays and Bob Wills Day bookings we require a sixty (60) day cancellation notice.


Rates/policies are subject to change and vary during high impact periods and special events.

The standard booking price includes the following:

  • All taxes (state 6%)
  • All hotel amenities and facilities as mentioned on our website pages and in our correspondence


Breakfast is available on site. Breakfast is not included with your stay unless purchased with booking or with a special rate package.

Housekeeping Services

Housekeeping services available for multiple night bookings upon REQUEST ONLY.

Minimum Stay

Minimum stay required during peak periods.

Check-in / Check-Out

Check-in: 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. If arriving outside of check-in times, please note that we may leave a self check-in packet on the front desk! Feel free to call with your arrival time!

Check-out: 11am.

Check-in and Check-out details will be emailed to you before your arrival!

Extending Your Stay

After you have booked your stay with us, you can extend your stay (depending on availability) by simply letting us know before you arrive or during your stay.

If you are already staying with us and you would like to stay longer, please inquire at the front desk. We will do our best to accommodate your new plans and this can include relocating you to a similar room should this be necessary. Remember, we are usually completely booked on Fridays & Saturdays, so please consider this when booking!  

If you are looking for a late check out, please inquire at the front desk. Some days we are unable to accommodate this request. A fee may be added to your room for a late check out.




Are we pet friendly? You bet! A maximum of two pets are allowed per room, and will incur a pet fee. Just make sure your furry friends do their business in the designated area and stay on a leash when outside the room. Our Container accomodations are not pet friendly. Sorry … no pets in the restaurant areas or on the Patio (that’s the health department’s call and we’ve gotta heed their rules). Pets cannot be left unattended in rooms at any time. You may have your pet on our front porch or in the grassy area outback if well behaved. If your dog is barking or bothering customers, we will ask you to leave the public area.

Should your furry friend shed a great amount or have a potty accident in the room, a cleaning fee will be charged to the credit card on file in the amount of $100. Should your pet cause property or item damage, an incidental fee will be charged at market value to your credit card on file. No cats or venomous creatures.


Children are always welcome! Remember, most of our spaces were built in 1927, so there is not a lot of extra space in our rooms. If you are looking for more room, our Containers are the place for you!


Parking is available in several places near the Hotel.  We have parking beside and across the street as well as other designated areas.  Please let us know if you are parking more than just a vehicle.  The Hotel does not take responsibility or accept liability for damage, accident or loss to your vehicle or personal property.  However, Turkey is a very safe area and we rarely have anyone bother others!
